August 2008: CIMSOURCE Software releases a BI (Business Intelligence) Tool based on a commercial software package.

May 2008: Final board meeting. The company name is officially changed to CIM Aachen GmbH.

21. April 2008: Relocation of CIM Aachen GmbH to Kasernenstr. 22, 52064 Aachen.

2007

November 2007: Celebration of 20th anniversary.

July 2007: CIM Beteiligungs-GmbH aquires the equity share of CIM Verein, making the CIM Beteiligungs-GmbH the sole shareholder of CIM GmbH.

2006

CIM Beteiligungs-GmbH is established to offer equity shares to further employees. Founding shareholders are the managing directors.

The concept of "Aachener PPS Tage" (a seminar and focussed trade show focussed on ERP systems) is renewed to comply with changing demands in the software market.

2005

The competence center "Engineering – IT" is revealed to the public at the "Digital Factory" trade show in Stuttgart.

Based on it’s success in the glass- and the steel industry, "Intergrated Process Management" is marketed as a consulting product.

Ingo Laqua is appointed managing director.

2004

Successful renewal of the ISO certificates for both branches.

2003

The consulting branch is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

2002

Customers, alumnis and employees celebrate CIM GmbH’s 15th anniversary.

2001

The software branch is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9000.

CIMSOURCE Great Lakes Office is incorporated as "CIMSOURCE Software Company".

2000

30. June 2000: The consortium of commercial banks (WestLB and Aachen Savings Bank) sell their shares to the management. For financing reasons these shares are bought by CIM GmbH, which now holds 25% of it’s own shares. Capital stock is changed to EURO.

1999

The CIMSOURCE Great Lakes Office in Ann Arbor, MI gets operational.

1997

23. October 1997: 10th anniversary and amendment of the by laws. CIM GmbH now has two fields of business, Software development and management consulting. The company name is changed to CIM GmbH Information- und Productionmanagement to emphasize this.

15. July 1997: Dr. Peter Kettner died. A second level of management is introduced.

June 1997: CIM’s Management buys the shares of the state of NRW.

April 1997: The StOB-data format becomes DIN Standard (DIN 4000 TT 75-94)

1995

June 1995: Establishment of STANDARD OpenBase GbR mbH. Shareholders are:

 · CIM GmbH (20%)

1994

End of 1994: Sponsorship of the state of NRW terminates. Management Consulting for industrial enterprises becomes the cash generator of CIM GmbH. Due to this growth in management consulting the revenue share of CIM-technologies decreases to 30%.

November 1994: Establishment of CIM Management GmbH as management holding for prospective subsidiaries.

July 1994: Dr. Götz Marczinski takes over the management from Dr. Hubert Schmidt.

1993

Relocation to the ADITEC gGmbH building at Steinbachstr. 25.

1988

Moving into the offices located in Metzgerstraße.
Dr. Peter Kettner and Dr. Hubert Schmidt managing directors.

1987

Octobre 1987: Incorporation of CIM-CENTER NRW GmbH by:
 · CIM-Verein NRW e.V. (49%)
 · state of NRW (25,5 %)
 · Commercial banks (25,5%)
Prof. W. Eversheim is appointed chairman of the board.

January 1987: Inspired by the promises of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) at Aachen University the idea is born to associate prospective users and suppliers of CIM technologies in a joint organization. 15 industrial corporations team up to establish the CIM Verein e. V (CIM association).
