To implement the Digital Factory means to bring to bear efficient industrialization procedures.

Clearly defined engineering procedures, which may be executed precisely and reproducible on at a constantly high level are a prerequisite for streamlined product generation process (PGP). Methods and tools from the Digital Factory make the close interaction of product- and process engineering as well as the shop-floor itself feasible.

For that purpose CIM Aachen offers a systematic methodology which takes strategic aspects as well as operational objectives into account and which delivers an objective concept without bias to any software systems.
